saltyj Very cool record! Molten dives deep with the US Metal inspiration (think Helstar, Omen, Attacker, Hallow's Eve, etc.), serving up that one-two punch of shredderific leads and impeccable riffsmanship straight out of a vintage Metal Massacre comp. Favorite track: Zombie's Curse.

dharmalogos This is an outstanding death metal album. Has a great early 90s sound (Morbid Angel, Death, Mortification, Autopsy) but a little bit slower and more melodic. Few blastbeats. Lots of tasty guitar melodies. Uptempo but not blazingly fast songs. Always a focus on crunchy riffs and archetypal death vocals. I wish more death metal sounded like this. Favorite track: Holy Macabre.

starvynth This debut has everything a no-frills metal fan wants: headbanging riffs, body-moving bass rhythms, menacing and versatile vocals, pounding drums, and intricate solos appearing everywhere and often when you least expect them.

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal

NONE a opéré un virage dans Where Life Should Be et ça se confirme davantage dans Damp Chill of Life. Le temps des métaphores est révolu : l'humidité froide, c'est celle des larmes qui coulent sur le visage à cause de la dépression. Tout pleure dans cet album : les guitares typées DSBM grésillent, les solos ("The Damp Chill of Life", "It's Painless To Let Go") sont liquides et coulent, les voix prennent à la gorge ; même le piano, étranglé par les sanglots ("Cease"), est aphone.
