Giles Combines a lot of influences/styles/subgenres but in a way that totally makes sense in an unexpected way. The more folky/quiet parts have a lot of tension and direction which I think is a rare skill!

dharmalogos Death metal that isn't aggressive. Doom metal that isn't doomy. This is an oddly uplifting and relaxing album that is heavy but melodic, has both death growls and melodic crooning, and features gentle synths over crunchy riffs. A genre defying album for people who like metal that has space to breathe but doesn't take forever to get to the point.

trainh13 I have a hard time articulating why I love this album so much. Maybe it's the way the synths add such an interesting layer floating above the raw and punchy sludge tinged riffs. Or maybe it's the varied vocal attack that keeps each song fluid and dynamic. Or perhaps it's the perfect pacing of each song and the album as a whole. But let's not forget the atmosphere which is absolutely sublime. I think what I'm trying to say is everything about this is amazing and you should buy it right now. Favorite track: Shadows on the Seawall.
